Dining Chairs

I finally got my chairs back from the upholstery shop (they were there over a month)!!!
My dining room is now a complete Transformation!

If you remember I bought the chairs from my cousin Jess's store "Alice Lane" in Orem, Utah.  I was actually happy they were in an unfinished state so that I could pick the end result.  After having them painted white with a sturdy lacquer, I then had them upholstered in this light grey faux Ostrich leather product (it's actually vinyl).  I found the fabric online at allvinylfabrics.com.

I also had the upholstery shop add a silver nail head trim around the seats.

My husband and I decided that with all the pattern going on in the rug, pillows, and walls we wanted to stick with something solid on the chairs, but I like the little bit of texture the fabric has on it.  Should be easy to keep clean too which is always a bonus!

  3. Where did you purchase the extra long curtain rod? I have been trying to find one for my great room.

    1. It is actually just a couple of long curtain rods from Target that I put together. Just make sure you buy a curtain rod with finials that come completely off so that you can slide in the extra rod pieces. So you just use all the fat and skinny rod pieces and alternate as many of them as you need for the length that you want. Hope that helps!

  5. I love this room! I wanted to know where you got your settee and have you had any issues with people being able to scoot in and out easily

  6. The Settee is from a local store "Down East Home" and I have no idea where they got it from. Just a luck find! There really is no way to scoot a settee this large in and out from the table so that is why I knew it was important to choose one that had low arms. That way you can slide in and out the side of the settee (like you would at a restaurant booth) and it is already positioned so that you are a comfortable distance from the table. I have enough seating that I don't use the settee when it is just my family eating dinner, it is just extra seating for when company comes- and the company seems to love it!

  7. How long is your table, 108" or 96"? We have the exact same RH table in the darker brown finish, and I've been seriously considering buying that same Catherine Rug from Ballard. I've just been debating how our 108" table would fit on it. Your room looks amazing; I can only hope ours turns out as well!
